IMC Writing Conference . . .

The Braeside Writing Conference is held every year in the spring. Fourth and fifth graders each
Brenda A. Ferber produce a manuscript of creative writing. On the day of the conference we meet in the gym, have lunch, and hear from our visiting guest speaker, a Chicago-area children's author. Then the students and our visiting group leaders have small group sessions in which the manuscripts are critiqued.

Tuesday, June 3, 2007.
Our guest speaker will be Brenda A. Ferber.

Brenda A. Ferber is the author of Julia's Kitchen, which won the Sydney Taylor Award in 2007.
