Braeside PTO Executive Board Elections will take place at the PTO meeting April 18th, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at Braeside School. The Nominating Committee will select the slate of candidates during the month of March. If you are interested in being a candidate or wish to nominate another person as a candidate, please submit the candidate’s name and office of interest to the PTO Executive Board Candidate envelope in the Braeside Office by February 29, 2008. Forms are also available in the Office.

PTO Executive Board Positions and responsibilities are:

Co-Presidents: The up to two (2) principal executive officers of the PTO, the Co-Presidents supervise the business and affairs of the PTO and are ex officio members of all PTO committees.

Administrative Co-Vice Presidents: The up to two (2) Administrative Co-V.P.s are responsible for all committees that are not fundraising in nature and coordinate the selection of committee chairpersons and members. They also serve as the Co-Presidents in the event the Co-Presidents are unable to perform their duties.

Ways and Means Vice Presidents: The up to three (3) Ways and Means V.P.s are responsible for all fundraising activities such as the bi-annual auction, Braeside Bucks, etc.

Co-Recording Secretaries: The up to two (2) Co-Recording Secretaries keep attendance at all PTO meetings, record and keep minutes of all PTO meetings, and are custodians of all PTO corporate records.

Co-Corresponding Secretaries: The up to two (2) Co-Corresponding Secretaries give notices as required by the PTO Bylaws, keep a register of the PTO members’ addresses and send correspondence as otherwise needed by the Executive Board.

Co-Treasurers: The up to two (2) Co-Treasurers are responsible for all PTO funds and securities and chair the Budget Committee.
