"How Fit is Your Family" Coming to Oak Terrace School May 22

The "Month of the Military Child" Celebration

The North Shore School District, Highland Park, Highwood and Ft. Sheridan communities will celebrate its military children on April 25, from 3-5 p.m., in the Elm Place School gym. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment. Click HERE for the event flyer.

Triple Threat Theatre Workshop for Kids April 17-May 8

The Highland Park Players are proud to announce its second offering of Triple Threat, a Theatre Workshop for Kids in 2nd through 8th grades. This is a four-week comprehensive theatre workshop program, offering building and coordinating in acting, singing, and dance, taught by instructors who are seasoned performers, educated in their fields, and with extensive teaching experience. The program will be held from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm on Saturdays, from April 17 - May 8, 2010 at West Ridge Center, 636 Ridge Road in Highland Park. New Exhibits Coming to The Art Center

NSSD 112 Opening Reception March 5 at The Art Center

Family Network offers after school activity program on school vacation days
The Family Network provides a full day of after school activity programs (ASAP) during school vacation days for District 112 students attending Oak Terrace, Wayne Thomas, Indian Trail, Ravinia or Lincoln schools. The day-long program is held at Oak Terrace School's multi-purpose room from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fee is $50 per child, which includes a lunch and a snack. A Big Blast offers free gymnastics lesson to special needs children
A Big Blast is offering a free introductory gymnastics lesson for special needs children in the community. A Big Blast is the second organization in the country and the first in the midwest to offer gymnastics as a new form of therapy

Highland Park Field House offers youth soccer program
The Highland Park Field House is a not-for-profit organization, in partnership with the Park District of Highland Park and local schools,serving the community with youth and adult soccer, golf and lacrosse. The youth soccer program is designed for boys and girls, ages 3-6, to develop skills and a life long passion for the game of soccer. Students required to wear protective helmet when cycling
The City of Highland Park, the Highland Park Police Department and North Shore School District 112 want to remind all students about bicycle safety and the ordinance that requires every person under the age of 16 years old to wear a protective helmet. Helmets must be worn while operating any bicycle, scooter, skateboard or any other type of user propelled device. To read the letter, click HERE
