Class rules:

As your teacher, I will guide you to become a knowledgeable citizen and student of Edgewood Middle School. You will be required to think, read, discuss, write and work with other students in the class. Small group work, cooperative learning, and group discussions will become a norm in this classroom, and you will be required to participate. By coming to class ready to learn with a positive attitude, you will succeed.

What do I expect of you as a student in my class?
1. You are responsible for doing your work and coming to class with a positive attitude
2. You must work cooperatively with myself as well as other classmates, teachers, or TA’s
3. You must be respectful of all other students and adults in the room.
4. You must come to class on time and prepared for class each day.
This does not mean you can leave to get materials from your locker!
5. You will do all of your work to the best of your ability
6. You will have fun while learning and participating in class activities!

Birthdays:
On your birthday, you are more than welcome to bring a birthday treat. If you bring

• You have as many days to complete an assignment as you were absent.
• It is up to you to inquire about missed work and tests.
• If you know you are going to be out or are out for an extended absence it is your responsibility to get assignments.
• I also recommend you partner with a friend who can keep you informed of missed work.
