Safety poster- due (9/1) – make a mini-poster

wPick a lab expectation from safety contract or safety cartoon.

wIllustrate it (use color).

wState the expectation/rule

wUse one piece of computer paper, may use the computer or draw it yourself

Finish Safety cartoon- due   (9/5)

wCircle any safety issue you see in the cartoon.

wNumber each item you circle

wType up a list of everything you numbered

 Ex. Circle the kids smoking in the lab, number it “1”.  On a separate piece of paper start your list with number “1”- No smoking in lab-

Introduce Purpose statements- part one of lab report

Purpose

  • Problem statement- ask a question
  • Background Information- 2 facts, complete sentences, bulleted
  • Hypothesis- try to make it quantifiable

 

Background Information- For future Lab Reports, each student must provide an article and write two sentences that provide information related to the lab.

 

Materials- list in columns

Procedure- number steps, one instruction per step

Format for Prelab

 

Due 9/8

  • Sketch a Line graph of Ball Bounce Lab on the back of your lab paper. 
    • x- axis is for independent variable
    • y- axis is for dependent variable

  • Answer questions 1- 8 for Nerve Lab
