MRS. TRACEY’S SCIENCE POLICIES:
MAKE-UP ASSESSMENTS:
    • If you are absent the day of a test/quiz (notified about test/quiz prior to absence), you must take the test/quiz the next school day. (This refers to one-day absences, field trips, etc).
    • The only “exceptions” are if we discussed alternative plans or you have been absent for several days.
    • If the test/quiz is not made up as outlined above, you will receive a zero on the test/quiz.
MAKE-UP INVESTIGATIONS (LABS):
    • If you are absent on the day of a lab, you must discuss plans with Mrs. Tracey to make-up the lab.  This should be done in a very timely fashion so you do not fall behind in the concepts presented in-class.  Usually, you will be given two opportunities (before school, occasionally during lunch, or after-school), which depend on the lab set-up to complete what you missed.  Please remember that when you miss a lab, I have to re-prep the lab for you and this is why you will only have two opportunities to make up the lab.
    • If you do not make-up the lab as outlined, you will receive a zero on the lab assignment.
OUR CONSTITUTION:
  1. Responsible Science Students
  2. Respectful Science Students
  3. Create a SAFE environment for all scientists, teachers, and visitors

All this information will be discussed further in-class. Please share this sheet with your parents/guardians and sign below to indicate that you understand your responsibilities, expectations, and policies.
