What do you need to do to be seriously considered as a teaching or administrative candidate?
Competition for most positions within our district is very intense. Only a small number of candidates can be selected for an interview. Therefore, if you wish to be seriously considered for a position then we recommend that you provide a completed application, including a cover letter, copy of your transcripts and letters of reference or a university placement file. We do contact references by telephone, so the references you list on the application should have current phone numbers in order to facilitate this process.
In most cases the application you submit will determine whether or not you are selected for an interview, so you certainly want it to portray you at your best!

Teachers and Administrators
Qualifications Required for Teachers:

- Interest in and enthusiasm for the position and education in general

Teacher Salary Range:
$38,566- $100,611 for 2007-2008 plus excellent benefits
Teacher Assistants
Numerous positions will be available for the 2007-08 school year as instructional,
special education and bilingual teaching assistants. These are excellent opportunities
to work with children in pleasant surroundings with other dedicated professionals. Most positions are full-time, seven hours per day and pay $14.76 per hour
with excellent insurance and retirement benefits.
To be considered for a Teacher Assistant position, you must obtain a Paraprofessional letter from Lake County Regional Office of Education.
Qualifications Required for Paraprofessional letter
* 30 semester hours of college coursework from a regionally accredited institution, or
* Completion of a paraprofessional training program approved by ISBE or ICCB, or
* Passed the ETS ParaPro assessment, or
* Passed the applicable WorkKeys assessment.
We are looking for dedicated professionals who have impeccable personal skills, excellent work habits and a love of children. Bilingual positions require fluency in both Spanish and English. Some special education positions may require the ability to lift a particular child or perform other duties relative to the physical care of the child.
Technology Facilitators
Each school has a technology facilitator responsible for assisting the IMC teacher and other certified school personnel with duties and tasks related to the technology program. Duties include overseeing the computer lab under the direct supervision of the IMC teacher, and implementing technology oriented modules designed by the IMC and classroom teachers. Technology facilitators work with students in engaged learning and technology enhanced projects.
These positions are full-time and pay $17.39 per hour in 2007-08 with excellent insurance and retirement benefits.
