Units of Study:

We had a fantastic time learning about objects in space.  Students were sad to see this unit end!

We are currently learning about the 'Amazing Human Body'.

Students are learning about the systems of the body and the important jobs of each organ.

In the spring, we will begin a unit on life cycles.  We will focus on plants and insects.  A trip to Heller Nature Center will support this unit.

Class Rules:

A note about birthdays...

Please contact me to schedule your child's birthday celebration.  Birthdays are celebrated at the end of the school day, usually at 2:45 pm.  Bring a book to read to the class and a healthy treat to pass around.  We have 20 students in the class.  Please provide any napkins, utensils, etc needed to enjoy the treat.

Homework Policy:

Return 'math homelinks' the following day.  These are meant to be a small snapshot of what is being learned during our classroom math lessons.  They should not take long to complete.

Return the 'book baggy' with the book at your child's independent or instructional level the next day or as soon as it has been completely read and discussed.

Theme projects should be returned by the date stated on the information letter.   These theme projects are great opportunities to work as a family.  Students enjoy sharing these with the class and seeing them displayed in the classroom.  Theme projects will come home many times throughout the year.

Buddy Class

Our buddy class is Mr. Lucci's Fourth Graders.

We enjoy working on poetry, sharing good books, and getting to know each other.

We meet on most Friday afternoons.
