Jack Prelutsky (author & Children’s Poet Laureate)

and

Chris Raschka (illustrator)

April is National Poetry Month and Lincoln School was lucky enough to have the National Children’s Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky along with the illustrator, Chris Raschka of his latest book, titled Good Sports.  They held an all school assembly for everyone to enjoy songs, stories and poems told by Jack while Chris illustrated them as they were being said.

LeRon Williams (drummer & storyteller)

May was an exciting month because the library came together with the music program to host LaRon at Lincoln for an all school assembly. LeRon is a storyteller who includes drumming in his stories. Mrs. Lubetkin had been working with the students on drumming for several months and they enjoyed listening to LeRon while incorporating what they have learned in music class.
