Help Support Cargo 4 Kids - Community
Luggage
Drive for Lake County Foster Kids! Currently, foster
children use plastic garbage bags to move their personal
items. Highland Park moms Sharon Stone and Nancy Rotering
are collecting new or gently used suitcases, duffles
and
backpacks to give to UCAN (Uhlich Children's Advantage
Network) a non-profit agency that will distribute the
items to the over 500 foster children in Lake County
(including Highland Park and Highwood). Cargo Drop Zones
are located at every 112 School as well as at City Hall,
West Ridge, Moraine Township Office, Township High School
113 Admin. Office and State Rep. Karen May's office (427
Sheridan, Highwood).
**Important
Message from Superintendent
Recently, you received a letter from Dr. Hager indicating
our inability
to send school announcements in a timely manner to parent/guardian
e-mail accounts via PowerSchool. Some messages have been delivered
on
time, others have been delivered late in the day and others remain
backed up in the system. To clear the system and allow a return
to
reliable PowerSchool email use, I am requesting that you access
daily
bulletins and announcements through our building's website ONLY.
This
access will begin on Monday, October 20. To access our school's
bulletin, go to our school's webpage and click on the list of
current
announcements. Middle school parent access to student grades
and
attendance information will continue through the email alert
system.
