School Announcements
Seven Oak Terrace teachers who work with kindergarten and first graders were awarded a grant through the Kohl's Children Museum in Glenview.
The grant is called- The Integrated Project Approach to Learning. The grant helps teachers to integrate power standards into projects so that children are fully engaged in learning. The staff will receive professional development, a stipend of $250 to do a class project, district reimbursement for substitutes for the days that the teachers have professional development, a trip for every classroom and their families and teachers to the Kohl's museum to see their children's work on display. Dolores Kohl(the founder of the museum) was a 4th grade teacher at Oak Terrace in the 70's.
