2006 Highwood Banner Project
"Celebrating Highwood "

The 5th grade class of 2006 had a unique opportunity to create banners for display in downtown Highwood.  The banners hung from light posts along several Highwood streets from June through September.  

This year's theme was "Celebrating Highwood".  Highwood Residents, Historical Society members, and City Council members contributed answers to the question, "What is Highwood?".  Students created paintings that represented historical and current images that represent all that Highwood has to offer. 

The written messages on the back of the banners are direct quotes from Highwood Residents.
