ISAT Practice Tests
The Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) measures individual student achievement and shows how students are performing relative to the Illinois Learning Standards. The results give parents, teachers, and schools one measure of student learning and school performance. In 2009, ISAT testing will take place March 2-13.
Students in grades 3 through 8 take the ISAT in reading and mathematics. Students in grades 4 and 7 also take the ISAT in science. In addition, students in grades 3, 5, 6 and 8 are take the ISAT in writing. Information regarding testing dates and times will be available from your childs school.
In order to inform educators, parents, students and the general public of the nature of the tests, the Student Assessment Division of the Illinois State Board of Education provide sample books in each of the fundamental learning areas assessed. These samples are meant to give educators and students a general sense of how items are formatted for ISAT.
