PASK 112: Partnership, Advocacy and Support for Kids
PASK 112 is a collaborative initiative between parents and District 112 staff to work together on behalf of children who have educational and learning differences. The group's activities include workshops on special education topics, information sharing and education, support groups, mentoring and feedback on District 112 special education programs.
Founded in the fall of 2004, the organization's mission is:
In concert with the mission of the North Shore School District 112, PASK 112
will facilitate and promote communication, support and teamwork with parents
and district staff for children who have educational and learning differences.
PASK 112 has three goals:
- Offer parent-to-parent support so that parents will not feel as if they need to go through the process alone.
- Enhance information sharing and education among parents, staff and broader North Shore community.
- Establish an ongoing feedback system with district staff and parents to continuously improve the delivery of special education services in District 112.
