How I Broke My Mom's Glass Cup by Daniel F.

It was the first day of school.  I was walking to my door, hoping that this year would be better than last year.  Like last year a guy named Big Mac (a bully) pushed me into my pumpkin pie in the cafeteria.  Man, that was bad!!

I began to think about school.  The bell rang. I ran inside and looked at my classroom. Lucky me! I had Big Mac in my class! We began reading. It wasn’t that much fun. At recess Big Mac almost gave me a black eye. The rest of the day we had social studies. Boring!! It was the worst day of my like.

After school I started to walk home. I was grujpy. And to make things worse, when I got home I accidentally knocked over my mom’s valuable glass cup that cost more than $5,000. My mom had told me, “If you break my cup you’ll be sorry.” My mom came into the room. She saw the shattered cup on the ground.

She said,” Get in your room.”

I said softly, “I’m sorry mom.”

She said, “Get in your room,” a little bit louder. I didn’t go.

She screamed, “GET IN YOUR ROOM!!!!!”

I ran into my room as fast as I could! My mom locked the door and said I could come out at 6:00 AM and it was only 4:00 PM. I walked around my room in circles for an hour. I couldn’t take it. I looked for the key to unlock the door. After five minutes I found it. I unlocked the door. I walked into the living room. Something felt strange. I looked through the window and thought I saw a ghost but it was a door floating in mid air.

I ran outside. I tried to jump in the door, but I didn’t make it. I tried again and made it through. Inside the door was a hallway. I walked through it and at the end there was a room. I walked in. I saw a desk with a piece of paper on it. The paper said, “Wanted,” in glowing orange letters. Under the word was a picture of something green wearing an apron. Before I could take a closer look, I heard footsteps comeing down the hallway. I looked at the strange thing…It was green! It was wearing an apron. It was howling. It…it… it WAS A MONSTER!!

I screamed! I ran and hid under the desk. Then I realized that the monster was my mom! She screamed, “What are you doing in my room?” in a scratchy voice. I tried to get out but the monster stopped me. My mom shouted, “Next time don’t break my glass cup!” She opened her mouth and…CRUNCH!!! She gobbled me up.

While my mom was digesting me, I woke from my daydreaming. The bell was ringing. I ran inside to my new classroom. Big Mac was not in my class and my teacher looked nice. It was the best school day of my life.
