The Mystery of the Haunted House on Main Street by Gabriel D.

On the morning of Halloween Eve, D.J. and his father were reading the morning newspaper. They saw an article about a haunted house on Main Street. The house supposedly had a hidden treasure by a chair. D.J. and his father went to investigate. The house had two pumpkins outside with carved skulls and crossbones. They knocked on the door. No one answered. They barged in. The lights were going on and off. Then they saw a howling ghost glowing in the dark by the light switch. A sparkle came down from the ceiling and landed on one of the thousands of chairs. The the ghost vanished. D.J. and his father moved the chair. The they saw a secret passage way. The ghost guided them through the passage way to a treasure. D.J.'s father left to get help while it was still light out. The next morning the newspaper headline read, "Missing Boy in Haunted House on Main Street." No one ever knew what happened to D.J.
