Units of Study:
The philosophy of the art department is rooted in providing Ravinia students with experiences that will stimulate creativity and develop skills. From Kindergarten through fifth grade students are exposed to a variety of artists, time periods, techniques, and art mediums that will develop their knowledge of world art and build upon acquired skills.

In art, students follow the STARS guidelines: S for Safety, T for Teamwork, A for Academic Attitude, R for Respect, and S for Success. Each table has colored squares that indicate jobs like Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Supplier, and Clean Up. These jobs facilitate organization and fairness in the learning process. |
