Sherwood School is a joyful, caring elementary school community which celebrates diversity and individuality. Our mission is to provide students with a quality education promoting the excitement of life-long learning while building a strong sense of self and community.

Statement of Beliefs Sherwood School will value the academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being of the whole child. Sherwood School will respect and value each individual as a contributing member of the school community. Sherwood School will empower children to take responsbility to become life long learners. Sherwood School will be a safe, healthy, nurturing place to risk intellectually and emotionally. Sherwood School will provide a variety of real world and multicultural experiences to encourage children to grow beyond their immediate environment and become caring, respectful participants of society.

Sherwood VisionSherwood is an exciting learning community which provides a quality education.  Children of all abilities and learning styles thrive educationally, socially, emotionally, and physically. A diversity of languages and cultures is embraced in a caring, safe, and supportive environment.  The value of each individual student, staff member and parent is honored and respected.  In turn, all are committed to the achievement of personal and organizational goals. Staff members focus on innovative and creative teaching to encourage students to actively engage in and demonstrate a love of learning.  All are confident, compassionate, cooperative, responsible, and proud to belong to the Sherwood School community.
