Dear Sherwood Families:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2010-11 school year.  I am thrilled to be starting my fourth year as Sherwood Principal. We hope that you had an enjoyable summer with your children.  We look forward to a productive and successful school year at Sherwood.  A special welcome to all of our new families at Sherwood School.  I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your children.  I encourage you to join our community as a parent volunteer.  There are many, many ways for parents to get involved.  It might be as an active member of the PTO, a room parent, a parent volunteer, a chaperone, a member of a school committee, or as a district volunteer.  Your input is extremely important as we work together as a team to better meet the needs of our students/your children.  Please feel free to call, email, or stop by to see me should you have any concerns or just wish to say hello or share something positive about our school, staff or programs.  On behalf of the staff of Sherwood School we wish to thank the PTO for their very generous time spent painting the gym.  It looks wonderful.  Also, a big thanks to PTO for the purchase of the new bike racks.  We also want to thank the 5th grade class of 2010 for the new weather station and a new podium for our stage.  Please be sure to make plans to attend the Sherwood Open House on Monday, September 13th at 7:00 PM.
