• BOARD MEETINGS

    The Board resumed in-person meetings at the District Office on January 12, 2021. Meetings adhere to the Restore Illinois Guidelines and limit room capacity, and participants will be required to use physical distancing and face coverings. The Board encourages the community to participate and watch the meeting online on the North Shore District 112 Vimeo site
     

    NEW PLATFORM FOR BOARD MEETING MATERIALS 

    Beginning in April 2021, the North Shore School District 112 Board of Education meeting notices, agendas, packets, meeting minutes and links to watch the Board meetings will be posted online using BoardBook Premier. BoardBook Premier is a web-based software application that electronically streamlines the preparation of board agenda packets and builds a searchable archive of meeting agenda packets and approved minutes. Past Board meeting materials will be loaded into BoardBook in the near future. If you have questions or need historical materials, please contact aberesid@nssd112.org. 
     
     

     
    PUBLIC COMMENT GUIDANCE
     
    At each open board meeting, the Board of Education allows and encourages public comment in accordance with Board Policy 2:230 Public Participation at Board Meetings. Members of the community who wish to address the Board at a meeting can sign-up just outside of the boardroom before the meeting begins. This format allows for community members to address the Board of Education for up to 3 minutes. There is no dialogue with the Board of Education during public comment. Please review the Board Policy prior to offering comments.

    At this time during the Pandemic, community members wishing to offer comments for the public comment/public hearing times on the agenda may offer comments in the following manner: 
    1. In Person at the meeting
    2. Emailing comments to northshore112@nssd112.org at least 30 minutes PRIOR to the start of the meeting; or
    3. Completing an online survey form at https://www.nssd112.org/PublicComment at least 30 minutes PRIOR to the start of the meeting. (link will be active once the agenda is posted) 
    Your comments will be read during the live-streamed meeting and become part of the public record. Per policy, comments are limited to 3 minutes (approximately 250 words) for each commenter. Please note that Policy 2:230 Public Participation at School Board Meeting and Petitions to the Board applies to all comments, including identifying oneself. Anonymous comments will not be read.  The Board President will read or allow the reading of as many of these comments as time allows and may decide to restrict the total time for comments to 30 minutes.
