UPDATE AT 9:22 a.m. from Dr. Lubelfeld...
This is Dr. Mike Lubelfeld, North Shore 112 Superintendent. An initial search was completed at Red Oak this morning following a bomb threat. Nothing was found during the initial search. Our first responder partners are conducting an additional search with explosive-detecting dogs out of an abundance of caution. Upon conclusion of the search efforts, I will re-evaluate and make a decision regarding the school re-opening. I will share more information about the school re-opening when it becomes available. |
-----
Students and staff at Red Oak have been safely evacuated from the building and relocated to Sherwood due to a bomb threat that was called into the school this morning.
We urge parents, guardians and other visitors to avoid coming to the school or relocation site at this time.
All other schools are operating as normal.
We will update this message as more information becomes available.
