FOIA Information
Under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and School Board Policy 2:250 - Access to District Public Records, North Shore School District 112 is committed to transparency by providing access to public records while protecting privacy and security where required by law.
FOIA requests may be submitted to the District’s Freedom of Information Officer, and the District will respond in accordance with state law and Board Policy 2:250, Access to District Public Records.
How to Submit a FOIA Request
FOIA requests must be submitted in writing. The District’s FOIA Request Form is available for convenience but is not required.
- By email: Include the complete request in the body of an email to foia@nssd112.org. Do not submit the request as an attachment or hyperlink.
- By mail: Mail a written request or the optional FOIA Request Form to FOIA Officer, North Shore School District 112, 445 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL 60040.
- In person: Deliver a written request or the optional FOIA Request Form to the District Office at 445 Sheridan Road, Highwood, IL 60040.
