About NSSD112
North Shore School District 112 proudly serves 4,000 Pre-K through 8th-grade students from the communities of Highland Park, Highwood, and Fort Sheridan.
Our dynamic community is educating the next generation of leaders in nine schools: seven elementary schools and two middle schools. We foster inspiring, innovative, and engaging environments to educate our students and prepare them for life success in a dynamic world.
In District 112, we recognize that the Future Starts NOW, and we are working every day to propel our schools to the next level of excellence. During the 2018-2019 school year, the district welcomed a new superintendent, Michael Lubelfeld, Ed.D., as well as several new administrators at the principal, associate principal, and district administrative levels.
The district is in the midst of a process to bring a refreshed, viable, and consistent curriculum designed to educate all students in all schools. We have implemented new academic enrichment programs across the district, introduced new curricular resources in core language arts and mathematics, and are in the midst of an historic Long-Range Plan to renovate and modernize our schools.
