Board of Education meetings are held in person and the public is welcome to attend. Board meetings are held in the Northwood Middle School Auditorium (945 North Avenue) in Highland Park unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda. Please enter through the Activity Entrance located in the rear of the building.
Regular meetings are livestreamed and recorded for future viewing. Committee of the Whole or special meetings are not typically livestreamed. Check the posted meeting agenda for the livestream status of the meeting.
Public Comment Guidance
At each open board meeting, the Board of Education provides time on the meeting agenda for public comments. The Board welcomes and encourages comments to be made in accordance with Board Policy 2:230 Public Participation at Board Meetings. Members of the community who wish to address the Board during the public comment period should sign in on the sheet provided in the boardroom before the meeting begins. Board Policy ordinarily allows each community member up to three minutes to address the Board. The Board listens to public comments but generally does not respond during the public comment period. Responses are typically handled through the process outlined in Board Policy 3:30, Chain of Command.

Below is an archive of past Board of Education meetings. Please note that meeting minutes are added only after they are approved by the Board at a subsequent meeting. This archive includes only regular meetings since 2023. For special or committee meetings, or meetings from earlier years, view the BoardBook meeting archive. Full meeting recordings have been archived since 2023, and Spanish-translated recordings, generated using artificial intelligence, have been available since October 2024.
