It manages districtwide messaging and storytelling across channels, including the website, newsletters, media relations, social media, and family communications, and helps ensure information is accessible, consistent, and aligned with district priorities.

ParentSquare
ParentSquare is the district’s primary communication platform for families. Schools and the District Office use ParentSquare to share announcements, reminders, newsletters, emergency notifications and other important information.
Families can receive messages by email, text or through the ParentSquare app and may adjust their notification and language preferences. Because social media is intended only to complement district communications, families should rely on ParentSquare for official and timely information.

District Newsletters
North Shore School District 112 publishes a monthly e-newsletter with district news, important updates, upcoming events and information for families and the community. The district also produces a quarterly printed newsletter that is mailed to all residences and businesses within District 112 boundaries.
These publications help keep the broader community informed about district priorities, student and staff accomplishments, Board updates, facilities projects and other work taking place across our schools. Each school also sends a weekly newsletter with school-specific news, reminders and upcoming events.

North Shore School District 112 maintains active accounts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to share district news, celebrations, reminders and other information with families and the broader community.
Social media is intended to complement, not replace, the district’s direct communication with families. The most reliable source for official and timely information is communication sent through ParentSquare by schools and the district.
To protect student privacy, the district does not post photos or videos of students on its social media accounts.
