FirstView Bus App

In partnership with our transportation providers, First Student and FirstAlt, North Shore School District 112 is introducing FirstView, a transportation tracking app. The app provides parents and guardians with live bus tracking, predictive stop and arrival times, and customizable alerts and messages. All official communications related to transportation delays will continue to be sent through ParentSquare.

The app is managed by FirstView and not by North Shore School District 112. If you require support with the app, please email support@myfirstview.com.

Download the App

Download the free, easy-to-use FirstView 1.0 mobile app, which you can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Sign up for a new account, or log in if you already have an account.

You will use the same app for both First Student and FirstAlt. However, there are different instructions for both. So please make sure you're following the proper steps below.

For First Student Transportation

District Code: T4H7U

To add a student, you will need:

  • District Code: T4H7U
  • Your child’s Student ID (available in Infinite Campus)
  • Your child’s last name

Steps for adding a student:

  1. Click the "add" button
  2. Enter the district Code, your child’s student ID, and last name.

To set up notifications:

After adding your student, you’ll be prompted to set up a notification. If that doesn’t appear, click the bell icon in the top right, then select “Notification Settings.” From there, you can create a new notification.

  1. Select the dropdown menu labeled "Customize Pinpoint."
  2. Place the pin at your bus stop location.
  3. Click "Next," then "Next" again.
  4. Select the trips you want to follow.
  5. Choose a distance notification area (up to 2 miles).
  6. Set your preferred notification time range.
  7. Click "Next," then "Save."

You can now receive push notifications when the bus is approaching your child’s stop.

For FirstAlt Transportation

District Code: J2Q6R

To add a student, you will need:

  • District Code: J2Q6R
  • Your child’s date of birth (If the date of birth does not work, try entering 01/01 of the birth year)
  • The phone number of a primary guardian (as listed in our student database system)

Steps for adding a student:

  1. Click the "add" button
  2. Enter the district code, your child’s date of birth, and last name (If the date of birth does not work, try entering 01/01 of the birth year)
  3. Notifications are set up by default for your pick-up/drop-off address
