Early Entrance to Kindergarten or First Grade
North Shore School District 112 identifies early entrance to kindergarten or first grade as a form of whole-grade acceleration for students who demonstrate advanced intellectual and social readiness.
District 112 is responsible for determining whether a child is appropriate for early entrance. The District will complete the necessary assessments and, based on the data collected, determine whether the student is ready for early entrance. Families will be notified of the District's decision, which is final.
Please note: Dual Language is not an option for early entrance.
