• The Braeside Alumni Society . . .

The Braeside School Building, designed by architect John Van Bergen and built in 1929, was named a National Historic Landmark in 1982. Our Prairie style building in its natural setting, influenced by Van Bergen’s associates Frank Lloyd Wright and Jens Jensen, is much loved by Braeside’s alumni, who often come to visit.

Braeside School celebrated its 75th birthday on September 9, 2OO4. Historic buildings have special needs and there are many potential restoration projects within our building. Recognizing the importance of maintaining the legacy of the Braeside School Building, the Braeside School PTO has formed The Braeside Alumni Society. Funds raised through membership dues in the Society will be used solely for historical maintenance, restoration and renovation projects in the Braeside School Building.

Membership is available at three levels:
Sustaining Membership - $1OO one time payment
Adult Membership - $5O one time payment
Student Membership - $35 one time payment

All members will receive a t-shirt, which may also be purchased by non-members for $15. Future benefits of membership may include special events at Braeside School and a newsletter.

Please join us in preserving the Braeside School Building for our future alumni and for our community by joining The Braeside Alumni Society. To join, please print out this form, fill it out and return it with your check for membership dues to:
