    Description: Amazing Amigos is a club for any student interested in making new friends. It provides students with a natural, supportive opportunity to get to know their peers. The club meets monthly after school to eat snacks, play games, and make crafts. We currently have students from all three grade levels who participate in our Amazing Amigos club. Amazing Amigos is facilitated by Mrs. Hodge and Ms. Friend, who help students practice their social skills in a familiar environment.  For our last meeting in May, we will walk together to Frost in downtown Highland Park to eat gelato and celebrate the end of the year.

    Description:  Students form a team of at least 5 students and read a variety of books from a selected list of novels. The teams practice questions from September to December, then begin scrimmaging against other teams, from other schools in the district, from January to March.

    Description:  Culture to Culture Club sponsors activities about people and cultures around the world. Previous events include making sugar skulls for Mexico’s Day of the Dead, learning to play the African game mancala, and eating pita and hummus with a guest speaker who was a Peace Corp volunteer in Jordan.

    Description: Students participate in improv and theatre games to improve performance skills. Students may create a devised piece or perform short scenes.

    Description: Students qualify for the Geography Bee by taking a test once during lunch.  Those who qualify, compete in the all-school bee for the change to represent EP at future bees!

    Description: Under the guidance of a teacher, teams of four students learn the FPSP problem solving model to explore challenges and propose action plans to complex societal problems. This challenging program requires research and study outside of the regular school day. Teams complete two practice problems and two qualifying problems throughout the school year.

    Description:  Explore improvisation techniques, increase technical proficiency on your instrument of choice, fine-tune their listening skills, and of course perform a unique and eclectic selection of Jazz music! Examples of genres of music we explore include rock, swing, blues, pop, latin, and salsa.

    Description:  The musical is announced each year in December. Come sing, act, and dance with us!

    Description:  Reach For Change is a student led group that helps raise awareness and funds for the genocide happening in Darfur through the paper doll project, contacting legislators and celebrities for their support, and organizing school events. Past events include Donut Days, Bake Sales, Hat Days, and school dances to help fund education for the Dream Team Sister School Project.
