Before- and After-School Care
AlphaBEST is NSSD112's before-school and after-school care provider. Before-school and after-school care is available for students at Braeside, Indian Trail, Oak Terrace, Ravinia, Red Oak, Sherwood and Wayne Thomas.

About AlphaBEST
AlphaBEST programs are designed to give you peace of mind when your child is not in school. Experienced, caring, and licensed staff ensures your child is safe, engaged, and happy! Every student participates in enrichment activities every day, at no additional charge! Coding, Robotics, Art, Drama, Spanish, Mandarin, Sign Language, Fitness & Sports, and Engineering/Maker Activities keep your child engaged and having fun every day at AlphaBEST! Snacks, homework help, recreation, and student-choice clubs are also provided to every student.
When There's No School
Looking for childcare on days when school is not in session? AlphaBEST offers School’s Out Camp for the 2025-2026 school year. Camps are held at Elm Place School (where Sherwood is currently located) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on select dates.
Concern Form
For non-urgent but important concerns, families can use our new before- and after-school care concern form to notify the district. This form helps us track and address issues while keeping communication clear and consistent. It will be monitored regularly.
