News You Can Use 1.25.2019

FROM THE PRINCIPAL - PLS#1 RESOURCES

Thank you to the many people who joined for the first parent learning event on social emotional programming and support. Between the December and January presentations we reached about 75 members of our school community and that is a great start for engaging in common conversations about our school. Linked here are the slides that were shared. There are links on the last page as well that parents might find useful.

Looking ahead just a few weeks, come one and all to the second learning event. This one will be a bit more personal as we dive into assessment data. Expected outcomes for the learning are a broader understanding of common functions of school that these data inform like academic enrichment and intervention, middle school course placement, ability and interest groupings, and more! See the below repeated highlight to RSVP for the February event.

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN CLASS

Do you know an incoming kindergartner? Have them contact the school office to let Kathi Pickens know of their existence! Planning is everything and we simply do not know about kindergartners until they tell us who they are. Encourage this please! Also, share the link below for folks to kick start the registration process.
