FROM THE PRINCIPAL - SPRING
It is hard to believe we have turned the page and are one week into the final trimester of the school year. Teachers have been reflecting on student progress over the past months and are preparing the second installment of our report card to send home to you. These report cards are a snapshot in time that are embedded as part of a much bigger and broader communication system with school. By no means should this report card be your only dialogue with our team. However, we strive to make the report card an accurate representation of what has transpired over the past trimester.
Next week we will package these reports and mail them home via the US Postal Service. Everyone should receive their report cards home in advance of the parent and teacher conference sessions on March 21 and 22.
As always, please take time to reflect with your partner and child about their school experience. Think about the status quo. What needs to be changed? Sustained? Supported? Tweaked? How can you bring up these points in such limited time? Do you have the words to say what you mean, but not say it meanly?
Our staff is here to support the school experience of all children. If writing down your thoughts in advance of a conference is helpful, do it! Our goal is satisfaction via communication over the conferences so come ready to partner. We will!

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE WEBPAGE
We have updated our before-and-after school care webpage to include information from Innovation Learning, which will be our new provider for the 2019-2020 school year. You can access this information by navigating to it on our school website, the district site, or with this direct link: https://www.nssd112.org/basp
INCOMING KINDERGARTEN CLASS
We have more than 30 incoming kindergartners already! Do you know an incoming kindergartner? Have them contact the school office to let Kathi Pickens know of their existence! Planning is everything and we simply do not know about kindergartners until they tell us who they are. Encourage this please! Also, share the link below for folks to kick start the registration process.
